Research Approach

At the Sushant School of Art & Architecture, emphasis is placed on original research that ranges across the various aspects of design, theory, material, habitat, settlement, spatial planning and spatial perception. Research carried out at the school is key to the development of original analytical methodologies for the built environment, as well as pedagogical innovations in the field of architectural education.

Research is characterized by a multi or inter-disciplinary approach that is manifested in a variety of outputs and processes including exhibitions, publications, reports, articles, symposiums, conferences, dialogues, blogs and installations. The approach to research is further enriched via linkages with the architectural profession at large through guest lecturers who have displayed excellence in their fields, a diverse group of visiting faculty with multiple specializations and interests, the alumni network and connections with research organisations and other academic institutions.
